WMCSAR Presents Razors to Grand Rapids Home for
Veterans
On
June 17th, I had the distinct honor and privilege to
attend the Grand Rapids Home for Veterans (GRHFV)
Hospital Chairpersons Meeting. In this endeavor I
was able to represent the West Michigan Chapter of
The Sons of The American Revolution. The meeting was
held at the Rio Grand restaurant in Grand Rapids.
There were approximately 60 volunteer chair persons
from 36 organizations in attendance.
The purpose of the meeting was to update the
various organizations volunteering their services to
the GRHFV and of the current volunteer concerns,
including planning activities and upcoming events
for the remainder of the year. This meeting was
chaired by Jan Rosochacki, the Community and
Volunteer Specialist for the GRHFV.
Prior to the meeting I presented Jan Rosochacki,
with twelve (12) Norelco Electric Shavers, on behalf
of the WMCSAR as a gift to be given to any Veteran
at the Grand Rapids Home in need of a new shaver.
Words of special appreciation were given from Ms.
Rosochacki, for the shaver gifts. Let's make these
12 shavers just the beginning of what this chapter
is capable of giving to the safety and well-being of
our veterans there.
